Ingenio de Santa Lucia
Ingenio de Santa Lucia, is the hamlet where you will find the Bohemian Hideaway. Although arriving here is an uphill drive, the actual hamlet is nestled in a palm tree valley 535 meters above sea level, which rewards the finca with fantastic views of the encompassing mountains.
The hamlet has records dating back to the 16th century and was known for its sugarcane mill. Today, the only agricultural farming is the harvesting of the olive trees in September. We guesstimate that there are just 40 houses in the immediate heart of the hamlet, and it's a rare occasion to see any of the locals leave their homes. There is one small shop in the hamlet that sells the essentials, and doubles as a locals bar on Friday and Saturday nights.
